FESTIVAL OF THE PATRON AND FAIR
October 5th
The feast day of the patron saint San Placido is the 5th October and the religious festival in his honour takes place on the first Sunday of that week (or on the same day, if 5th October is a Sunday).
On the previous Sunday, an important fair-market is organized: for a whole day, from eight in the morning to ten in the evening there are stalls, colours, scents, lots of people and joy, along the streets of the village. This takes place between Piazza della Vittoria, via XX Settembre and via Circonvallazione.
You can find over a hundred commercial operators and the most varied items: clothing, jewellery, housewares, bags, shoes, linen, toys, handicrafts and all of the latest trends of the moment. There are also stalls dedicated to local gastronomy and sweets.
