TRAILS OF THE TRABOCCO PARK

MULINO TRAIL

From the car park, a comfortable path leads to the Old Mill in a short walk.

WATERFALL LOOP

Circular trail. After crossing the bridge, the trail continues for a few metres until you reach the Waterfall. Continue straight ahead until you reach the point where, after crossing the stream, the return journey begins through the wooded slopes of Poggio San Marcello.

Near the Old Mill, cross the stream again and return to the starting point.

The return trail includes some steep sections which can be slippery, especially after rainfall.

SELVETTINE

From the mill, once you reach the bridge, continue to the right. After easily navigating a few uneven sections, you will reach the “Selvettine” exit.

From here, follow a trail across open land (private property) until you reach a paved road leading to the village.

VILLAGE CROSSING

From the end of the “Selvettine” trail, continue uphill towards the village. Cross the village, choosing from several possible routes, until you reach a fountain in Rotone.

Continue downhill along the paved road until you reach the beginning of a gravel road.

IMPIETRATA

Continue along the gravel road of Trail No. 4. After a few metres, turn right onto the “Impietrata”. This historic stone-paved route was once used by local residents to reach the mill and grind their grain. It has recently been restored.

The trail first descends steeply in a straight line, then continues with a series of bends until reaching the Old Mill.

COMBINING THE SELVETTINE - VILLAGE CROSSING- IMPIETRATA TRAILS CREATES A LOOP ROUTE

BACUCCO

Circular trail. The first section follows the “Selvettine” trail. At a fork, continue straight through the woods and, after crossing the ditch, begin climbing alongside a cultivated field until you reach a gravel road.

Continue uphill for a few metres, then turn left and begin descending towards the Trabocco.

After following a short country lane, turn left again. Pass an old house and, walking alongside an olive grove, enter the woods until you reach the “Waterfall Loop” trail. Turn left and, after crossing the bridge, return to the starting point.

Please respect the private properties crossed at several points along the route.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Wear suitable footwear for hiking. With the exception of Trail No. 1, the “Mulino” trail, the other routes, although not particularly difficult, require a certain level of caution. At several points, you will need to cross the stream on foot; some sections are steep and sloping and may be slippery, especially after rainfall.

Always stay on the marked trails. All routes are clearly signposted and often run alongside houses and private land.

Motorised vehicles are not permitted.

Do not light fires.

Although some litter bins are available, please take your rubbish with you.
